The twenty-six posture exercises, modeled after traditional Hatha yoga, systematically move fresh, oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fiber, restoring all systems to healthy working order, just as nature intended. Proper weight, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well being will automatically follow.
In addition, the Asana series is designed to scientifically warm and stretch muscles, ligaments and tendons, in the order in which they should be stretched-a particular sequence- with each posture preparing you for the one that follows it.
This yoga is a meditative yoga with stillness practiced in between postures and silence observed the entire class. This yoga is available to everyone- every class is a beginner's class. The only requirements are that one comes on an empty stomach, is amply hydrated, and willing and open to be present with themselves. I absolutely love practicing and teaching this yoga - It is inspiring, humbling, real and whole. It brings balance to my life.
